old peoples home

today I and a group of students volunteered to go and talk to the people at the elderly daycare to talk to and explain what we are doing at the school. I went down with a few of my friends along with our teacher Mrs. Tozer.  i took my tiger thing and showed all the old people. after a while we got a sheet of questions that we got asked. the questions were all about us. and I had been shared a sad story about one of their lives and ended up in tears because no one should have to go through the lose of there siblings and loved one but at the end of the trip we had fun.

Today in period 3-4 we watched a documentary about the environment called 2040, it was about how our greenhouse gasses are causing us as humans pain. I think that this document is helpful because it can help humans change into a better and more comfortable place for people to live. In the future I hope it is better and can change, I hope that the earth changes because at the moment earth isn't at its full standers I find if people watch this video it gives people a better understanding of why we need to change the way we recycle things and how we use fossil fuels. People need to know that their actions can affect the way it affects the world and others. Our action now could affect future generation. I learned that I need to reduce using plastic and to use the three Rs. I was surprised that this isn't helping people find out that the way they are living now isn't helping us it is making things worse if people see this they would know to change there actions immediately then keep doing what they are doing this video should be shared around the world so people will change if they know what to change.

Drama

For the last 2 weeks in drama, we have been working on healthy eating and creating healthy puppets to put on a puppet show. While learning about healthy eating and the things that bad food does to our bodies we had written down what healthy food does to help our four walls. When we had learned all that we needed to know we drew some healthy eating paper puppets to make a video that convinces people to eat healthy not only for their shape but for their minds as well.

Maths Term 3

In maths, my favorite activity was the workbooks. The workbooks were a book that has heaps of maths questions in it.

A strategy I have learned was the Collom method. For example, 709-137
would look like

The challenge in maths this term for me was doing collom work in times tables.

my goal in multiplication that I want to achieve is that I want to be able to do my 4 times tables in one minute.

song for the All Blacks

last week we had to do a song, dance, pome or video me and my group choose a video and a song here is our video and song lyrics:

Hi, all black this is for you.

Danni
Far away from losing
Heading into the field
Your mind is on the game
Fired into the win

And the less you hear people saying “boo-boo”
The more you hear people saying “go you”
The best voice are covering up the bad voice you hear on the field
Belle
You digging into the win
Underneath hate
Close to winning making them scarrer
Then you digging away the hate

Your saying this is our game song “we are going to win”
Taking back the hate songs

Prove your going to win this
My game power’s are turned on
Starting on the field i’ll be strong
I’ll play my game song

Jessica
Down by the field
Where the game must go on
Back to the lockers
I have to go
Because I need to change
The team must try and win

Every time we try our best
We will drag them to the ground
Were going to spend another night trying our best

hope you like it

P.E

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been…
  •  Playing Kick long ball and bench ball
  • We were playing in the gym
  • because we were working on Invovmeant / working with others/teamwork

Statement
Our first activity kicked long ball  For this activity I rated my self as a 1

Explanation
To achieve level 1 we have to show that we can consistently not care and say nasty words

Example
During the first game of kick long ball, I showed that I am working at level 1  by not listening and being mad. These examples show that I have met the standard for level 1

Statement
Our second activity was bench  ball for this activity, I rated my self as a 1

Explanation
To achieve level 1  we have to show that we can consistently not care

Example
